AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran has executed Majid Mosayyebi, a man convicted of espionage for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, the judiciary announced Sunday.
The execution was carried out in the central city of Isfahan following a final ruling by Iran’s Supreme Court, which upheld the death sentence initially issued by the Islamic Revolution Court. Mosayyebi was found guilty of “moharebeh” (waging war against God) and “corruption on earth” due to his alleged cooperation with foreign intelligence services hostile to Iran.
According to judicial sources, Mosayyebi had established contact with a Mossad agent identified as “David” in a Persian Gulf state. He reportedly transmitted classified information—pertaining to sensitive locations and individuals—on a regular basis in exchange for cryptocurrency payments.
Authorities stated that the intelligence he provided posed a threat to national security, and that the legal proceedings adhered to all necessary protocols. Further details regarding the case remain undisclosed.
